Ingredients
 
 

  • 1 cup vegan butter
  • 3/4 cup white sugar
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp plant-based milk
  • 2 1/4 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 cup vegan chocolate chips

Method
 

Step 1: Cream the base
  1. In a stand mixer fitted with a whisk or paddle attachment, beat the room-temperature vegan butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar for 1–2 minutes, until light and off-white.
Step 2: Add flavor
  1. Mix in the vanilla extract until fully combined.
Step 3: Heat-treat the flour
  1. Spread the flour evenly on a microwave-safe plate or bowl and microwave for 90–120 seconds, stirring halfway through. Allow to cool slightly.
  2. Add the heat-treated flour to the dough and mix until smooth.
Step 4: Fold in chocolate chips
  1. Gently mix in the vegan chocolate chips just until evenly distributed.
Step 5: Serve & store
  1. Scoop into a serving bowl and enjoy immediately, or store covered in the refrigerator for up to 8 days.
