Ingredients

Dough
  • 1 banana
  • 1/2 cup protein powder
  • 1 1/2 cup old-fashioned oats
  • 5 tbsp honey
  • 2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tbsp vanilla optional
  • 1/4 cup mini chocolate chips / chunks
Coating
  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate

Method

Step 1
  1. In a medium bowl, mash the banana until completely smooth. Stir in the honey and vanilla extract (optional) until combined.
Step 2
  1. Blend the old-fashioned oats in a blender or food processor until they form a fine flour.
  2. Add the blended oats, protein powder, and cinnamon to the banana mixture. Mix until a thick, dry dough forms.
Step 3
  1. Mix in the milk until the dough becomes soft and pliable. Gently fold in the mini chocolate chips.
Step 4
  1. Using a 2-tablespoon cookie scoop, scoop portions of dough and roll them between your hands to form smooth balls.
Step 5
  1. Place the banana balls on a parchment-lined tray and freeze for 30–45 minutes, until firm.
Step 6
  1. Melt the semi-sweet chocolate until smooth. Dip each banana ball into the chocolate, coating completely, then return to the refrigerator for about 15 minutes to set.
Step 7
  1. Enjoy fresh, or store in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 14 days.
