Hot Chocolate Mug Cake

Ingredients
 
 

Cake
  • 3 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 1 tbsp cocoa powder
  • 1 pack hot cocoa mix
  • 4 tbsp water
  • 1 tbsp egg whites
  • 1/4 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 gram baking powder
  • 1/4 cup All-Purpose Flour
Toppings
  • 1/4 cup marshmallows
  • 1 tbsp chocolate syrup

Method
 

Step 1 – Mix the Dry Ingredients
  1. In a microwave-safe mug, add the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and hot cocoa mix. Stir until fully combined.
Step 2 – Add the Wet Ingredients
  1. Mix in the egg whites, vanilla extract, and water until the batter is smooth with little to no lumps.
Step 3 – Microwave the Cake
  1. Microwave the mug cake for 1 minute and 30 seconds. It should rise but not spill over—keep an eye on it just in case.
Step 4 – Add Marshmallows
  1. Carefully remove the mug from the microwave and sprinkle marshmallows evenly over the top.
Step 5 – Melt & Fluff
  1. Return the mug to the microwave for 25–30 seconds, just until the marshmallows are soft, fluffy, and slightly melted.
Step 6 – Finish & Enjoy
  1. Drizzle with chocolate syrup and dig in while it’s warm and gooey!
