Method
Step 1 – Mix the Dry Ingredients
- In a microwave-safe mug, add the granulated sugar, cocoa powder, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and hot cocoa mix. Stir until fully combined.
Step 2 – Add the Wet Ingredients
- Mix in the egg whites, vanilla extract, and water until the batter is smooth with little to no lumps.
Step 3 – Microwave the Cake
- Microwave the mug cake for 1 minute and 30 seconds. It should rise but not spill over—keep an eye on it just in case.
Step 4 – Add Marshmallows
- Carefully remove the mug from the microwave and sprinkle marshmallows evenly over the top.
Step 5 – Melt & Fluff
- Return the mug to the microwave for 25–30 seconds, just until the marshmallows are soft, fluffy, and slightly melted.
Step 6 – Finish & Enjoy
- Drizzle with chocolate syrup and dig in while it’s warm and gooey!
