Valentine’s Chocolate Chip Cookie Skillet

Ingredients
 
 

Cookie Dough
  • 1 cup butter browned butter is optional
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 2 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 tbsp molasses
  • 2 cups All-Purpose Flour
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 cup chocolate chips/chunks
Toppings
  • chocolate syrup
  • whipped cream
  • Valentine’s day sprinkles

Method
 

Step 1 – Prep the Oven
  1. Preheat oven to convection 350°F.
Step 2 – Cream Butter & Sugars
  1. Beat room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with a whisk or paddle attachment (stand mixer) until the mixture turns off-white, about 1–2 minutes.
Step 3 – Add Wet Ingredients
  1. Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and molasses until fully combined.
Step 4 – Form the Dough
  1. Add flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Fold in the dry ingredients just until combined, then mix in chocolate chips or chunks.
Step 5 – Assemble the Skillet
  1. Scoop the cookie dough into a buttered skillet pan and gently spread it out evenly.
Step 6 – Bake
  1. Bake the cookie skillet for 23–25 minutes, until set around the edges but still soft in the center.
Step 7 – Cool & Serve
  1. Let cool for 15–20 minutes if slicing, or enjoy warm straight from the skillet.
  2. Optional: top with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and Valentine’s Day sprinkles.
Step 8 – Store
  1. Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 8 days.
