Step 1 – Prep the Oven
- Preheat oven to convection 350°F.
Step 2 – Cream Butter & Sugars
- Beat room-temperature butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar with a whisk or paddle attachment (stand mixer) until the mixture turns off-white, about 1–2 minutes.
Step 3 – Add Wet Ingredients
- Mix in the egg, vanilla extract, and molasses until fully combined.
Step 4 – Form the Dough
- Add flour, baking powder, and baking soda. Fold in the dry ingredients just until combined, then mix in chocolate chips or chunks.
Step 5 – Assemble the Skillet
- Scoop the cookie dough into a buttered skillet pan and gently spread it out evenly.
Step 6 – Bake
- Bake the cookie skillet for 23–25 minutes, until set around the edges but still soft in the center.
Step 7 – Cool & Serve
- Let cool for 15–20 minutes if slicing, or enjoy warm straight from the skillet.
- Optional: top with chocolate syrup, whipped cream, and Valentine’s Day sprinkles.

- Store leftovers in an airtight container for up to 8 days.
