Iced Valentine’s Day Caramel Latte

(no granulated sugar added)

Latte

  • double-shot of espresso

  • 1 tbsp brown sugar

  • 1 tbsp caramel syrup

  • 2/3 cup milk (whole, almond, oat, etc)

  • 1 tbsp creamer (whole, almond, oat, etc)


Double-Shot of Espresso

(with Espresso-Machine)

  • 16 grams coffee beans (double-shot)

(without Espresso-Machine)

  • instant espresso (amount depends on packaging’s instructions)

  • 1/4 cup water

This can be made as a hot latte too! :)


The Casabrew is my go-to espresso machine because it is cheap (compared to others) and small, so it fits in every crevice of your kitchen!

I also have the Ultima Cosa espresso machine from Walmart (shown in this picture). Though the wand is not as strong as the Casabrew and it is a bit larger due to the built-in grinder.

Latte

  • double-shot of espresso

  • 14 grams brown sugar

  • 16 grams caramel syrup

  • 160 grams milk (whole, almond, oat, etc)

  • 15 grams creamer (whole, almond, oat, etc)

Double-Shot

(with Espresso-Machine)

  • 16 grams coffee beans (double-shot)

(without Espresso-Machine)

  • instant espresso (amount depends on packaging’s instructions)

  • 60 grams water



Instructions

Step 1

  • Take milk and creamer out of fridge and add into a frothing cup. Using a milk frother, froth your milk until desired consistency (1-2 minutes) (I also dyed mine pink :).

Step 2

  • Take a 16 oz cup (or cup of your choice) and drizzle a caramel syrup along the inner sides (this is optional).

  • Add your ice into cup.

Step 3

  • Prepare double-shot of espresso:

    • With espresso machine: add brown sugar to the bottom of your espresso cup and then prepare a normal double shot the same way you normally would.

    • Without espresso machine: prepare an instant shot of espresso (2x) according to packaging. With a double-shot it should come out to around 1/4 a cup of espresso. Once shot is made, add brown sugar and mix it in until combined.

Step 4

  • Add espresso into your cup, over your ice.

  • Add fluffed milk and creamer over espresso and you are done!

Step 5

  • I then love to add my favorite glass straws and a couple of Valentine’s Day sprinkles!
