The Best Basil Pesto

Small Batch of Homemade Pesto

  • 1/4 cup pesto

Measurements:

  • 1 clove garlic

  • pinch of salt

  • pinch of black pepper

  • 1/2 cup fresh basil

  • 2 tbsp parmesan cheese

  • 1 tsp lemon juice

  • 2 tbsp olive oil

Measurements in Grams:

  • 1 clove garlic

  • pinch of salt

  • pinch of black pepper

  • 12 grams fresh basil

  • 30 grams parmesan cheese

  • 5 grams lemon juice

  • 30 grams olive oil


Instructions

Step 1

  • In a food processor or using a mortar and pestle, crush garlic, salt, black pepper, and fresh basil together.

Step 2

  • Once basil is crushed very finely, add parmesan cheese, lemon juice, and olive oil. Mix until everything is well combined.

Step 3

  • Enjoy fresh or store in fridge for up to a month!
