Step 1: Make the Matcha Base
- Add 1 cup milk to a blender cup or large mug. You can also use water & protein powder for a higher protein option. Starting with the liquid first helps the matcha blend smoothly without clumping.
Step 2: Add the Matcha + Warm Spices
- Add 1–2 tsp matcha powder, a sprinkle of cinnamon, and a splash of vanilla extract.
- The cinnamon adds warmth while the vanilla gives it that cozy, lightly sweet café-style flavor.
Step 3: Add the Mushroom Powder + Extras
- Mix in 1–2 tsp mushroom powder along with any herbs or plant extracts you enjoy.
- Start with a smaller amount of mushroom powder if you’re new to it, then adjust to taste over time.
Step 4: Sweeten It
- Add date syrup to taste.
- You can always add more after blending depending on how sweet you like your latte.
Step 5: Blend or Froth Until Creamy
- Blend for about 15–30 seconds until smooth and frothy.
- If using a milk frother, froth for 30–45 seconds until the matcha is fully combined and creamy.
Step 6: Taste + Customize
- Give it a quick taste and adjust as needed.
- Add more matcha for a stronger earthy flavor, extra date syrup for sweetness, or more milk if you want it creamier. This is also the perfect step to experiment with different herbal blends or functional extracts.
Step 7: Serve + Enjoy
- Pour over ice for a refreshing iced latte, or gently warm it for a cozy hot version. Froth once more before serving for an extra creamy finish.
