Valentines Rice Krispie Treats

Ingredients
 
 

Rice Krispy Treats
  • 3 cups mini marshmallows
  • 5 cups Rice Krispy cereal
  • 3 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp vanilla extract
Toppings & Add-In’s
  • 1 cup mini marshmallows
  • 1 cup M&M’s
  • caramel milk chocolate Ghirardelli chocolate

Method
 

Step 1 – Melt the Base
  1. In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and mini marshmallows in two 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth and fully combined.
Step 2 – Add Vanilla
  1. Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly mixed.
Step 3 – Mix in Cereal
  1. Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and gently fold until all the cereal is coated.
Step 4 – Fold in the Fun Stuff
  1. Mix in the M&M’s and any extra marshmallows until evenly distributed.
Step 5 – Press into Pan
  1. Transfer the mixture to a parchment paper–lined square pan. Gently press it down with a spatula and sprinkle chocolate on top.
Step 6 – Chill & Slice
  1. Let the bars chill for 60–90 minutes, then cut into 3x3 squares. Enjoy fresh or store in an airtight container for up to 8 days!
