Method
Step 1 – Melt the Base
- In a large microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter and mini marshmallows in two 30-second intervals, stirring well between each, until smooth and fully combined.
Step 2 – Add Vanilla
- Stir in the vanilla extract until evenly mixed.
Step 3 – Mix in Cereal
- Add the Rice Krispies cereal to the marshmallow mixture and gently fold until all the cereal is coated.
Step 4 – Fold in the Fun Stuff
- Mix in the M&M’s and any extra marshmallows until evenly distributed.
Step 5 – Press into Pan
- Transfer the mixture to a parchment paper–lined square pan. Gently press it down with a spatula and sprinkle chocolate on top.
Step 6 – Chill & Slice
- Let the bars chill for 60–90 minutes, then cut into 3x3 squares. Enjoy fresh or store in an airtight container for up to 8 days!
